It was a relatively hot day, so a nice cold drink would be nice. I wandered around the shopping mall looking for something to drink. I headed over to the Wal-Mart. But I was under surveillance!
Ha! The Wal-Mart was under my surveillance too. I would call this one a draw. There are always some bozos in front of department stores. Here is someone offering a stress test (a hastily contrived stress test, judging from the sign.)
I did my part to see if a guy standing around taking photos would increase the stress of the participants. I tried all of the soda machines in front of the Wal-Mart (you know, those machines with the deep discount soda) and of course none of them worked. I would have to go home with nothing to drink. Fine, it's not that long of a walk. Just to taunt me, around the corner:
Oh well. I wandered off, around the back of the Wal-Mart, where I saw yet another ubiquitous item. Peds on wet floor signs are common. Orange cones are common - well, we KNOW they're common, they're conspiring to take over the world. But anyway. Wooden pallets are also pretty common.
It is beyond the scope of the Cone Epicentre research institute's charter to investigate this pallet phenomenon. Please feel free.
More photos after these brief commercial messages. You could also go to the main Cone Epicentre page if you want. |
